Educational Qualifications

Assistant Teacher (LP):

Candidates aspiring to apply for the Assistant Teacher (Lower Primary) position must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary School.

Assistant Teacher (UP):

Candidates seeking to submit online applications for the Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary) position must fulfill these eligibility criteria:

• Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or equivalent).
• Graduate from a UGC recognized University.
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
• Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School.

Science Teacher (UP):

• B.Sc. from a UGC recognized University.

Hindi Teacher (UP):

Candidates desiring to submit online applications for the Hindi Teacher (Upper Primary) position must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• Graduate with Hindi as one of the subjects from a UGC recognized University.

Additional Criteria for TET Assam Recruitment

ATET/CTET Qualification:

Candidates who have successfully passed ATET/CTET/BTC TET for LP/UP are eligible to apply.

TET Eligibility:

Candidates who have passed ATET/CTET/BTC TET for Upper Primary School are eligible to apply. Language I or Language II of both ATET and CTET candidates must match the medium of instruction of the school they wish to apply to.

Nationality:

Indian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Assam are eligible for this recruitment.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years old as of January 1, 2023.

Age Relaxation:

• OBC/MOBC: 3 Years
• Schedule Caste: 5 Years
• Schedule Tribe: 5 Years
• Ex-Servicemen: 2 Years
• PwD: 10 Years

Small Family Norms:

Applicants with more than two living children on or after January 1, 2021, are ineligible for appointment according to the Government’s Small Family Norms policy.
