According to the official notification, the CTET September 2026 Exam will be conducted on 06 September 2026 (Sunday) in offline mode across various examination centres in India. 📚 CTET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must fulfill the educational qualifications prescribed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to appear in the examination.

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following conditions:

Option 1
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Option 2
Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE 2002 norms).
Option 3
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.El.Ed.
Option 4
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Option 5
Graduation with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed degree (from recognized institution).

👨‍🏫 Eligibility for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following conditions:

Option 1
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Option 2
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed.
Option 3
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed (as per NCTE norms).
Option 4
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Option 5
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).
👉 Note: Candidates pursuing teacher education courses recognized by NCTE are also eligible to apply for CTET 2026.
