Eligibility Criteria: Education, Age & Physical Standards

1. Educational Qualification

  • Minimum: Candidates must have passed Class VIII (8th Standard) from a recognized school.
  • Maximum Limit: The maximum allowed qualification is Class XII (HSSLC) passed. Candidates with higher qualifications may not be prioritized or may be ineligible depending on specific cadre rules.

2. Age Limit (As of 01-01-2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years.
  • Maximum Age: 40 Years.

    • SC/ST (P)/ST (H): 5 years.
    • OBC/MOBC: 3 years.

3. Physical Standards (PST)

Selection Process: How You Will Be Chosen

The recruitment process for DGCD & CGHG is simple and skill-oriented:

  1. Document Verification: Physical verification of original testimonials.
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Qualifying in nature.
  3. Trade Proficiency Test (TPT): This is the core of the selection. It carries 50 marks. An expert panel will assess your hands-on skills in your specific trade (e.g., cooking skills for Cook, stitching for Cobbler).
  4. Final Merit: Prepared based on the marks secured in the Trade Proficiency Test only. (Qualifying marks: 17 out of 50).

  1. Visit the official website: slprbassam.in.
  2. Register using your mobile number and email ID to create a Recruitment ID.
  3. Log in and select the DGCD & CGHG Grade IV application link.

Note: In case of a tie in final marks, the candidate older in age will be ranked higher. If age is also the same, the candidate with higher height will be given preference.
