Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 70,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 6,200/-
Qualification: Graduation (in any discipline)
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 40 years of age (as of 01.01.2024). There is an upper age relaxation of up to 05 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) candidates and up to 03 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.
Selection Process
Eligible candidates for the Lower Division Assistant position will undergo a Written Test of 100 marks. The test will cover subjects like General English, Aptitude, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Drafting, and Computer Knowledge, in both descriptive and objective formats. Following the written test, candidates will proceed to a Viva-Voce.
How to Apply
To apply, candidates must submit their applications in the Standard Form of Application as published in the Assam Gazette in Part IX. The application should be accompanied by self-attested photocopies of all relevant testimonials, including educational certificates, experience certificates (if any), caste certificate, age proof, employment exchange registration card, and three recent passport-size photographs signed by the candidate on the reverse side.
The application, along with the required documents, should reach the office of the District Legal Services Authority, Karimganj, before the specified deadline. The envelope containing the application must be superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LOWER DIVISION ASSISTANT”. Additionally, candidates must ensure they are registered with the Employment Exchange, and their registration details must be mentioned in the application.
The last date of receipt of application is 24.04.2024 till 5 P.M. No application will be entertained after the last date. The appointing authority shall not in any circumstances be responsible for any postal delay.
Note:
- Successful candidates in the written test will proceed to the Viva-Voce, which carries a weightage of 100 marks.
- The date, time, and venue of the Viva-Voce will be communicated after the declaration of the written test result.
- The result of the written test will be published on the official website of Karimganj District Judiciary (https://karimganj.dcourts.gov.in). Candidates are advised to check the website regularly for updates.
- No individual call letters or admit cards will be issued. The list of eligible candidates for the written test and Viva-Voce will be uploaded on the official website, and candidates must download the same.
- Any updates regarding the recruitment process will be communicated through the official website and the Notice Board of the District Legal Services Authority, Karimganj. Candidates are advised to stay updated by regularly visiting the official website or AllJobAssam.com.

Admit Card Information

Instead, the list of eligible candidates for the written test and viva-voce will be published on the official website of the Karimganj District Judiciary (https://karimganj.dcourts.gov.in). Candidates must download their Admit Cards from the official website. Additionally, the list of rejected candidates will also be uploaded on the official website for reference.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the website for updates. Additionally, information regarding the date, time, and venue of the Viva-Voce will be provided after the declaration of the written test result.
