Number of Positions: 2 (1 per project)

Projects:

1. Tea Genome Sequencing Project – Phase III
2. Exploiting Alternate Cost-Effective Potash Sources for Sustainable Tea Production in Northeast India

Eligibility Criteria

• Project 1: M.Sc. in Biotechnology or Life Sciences
• Project 2: M.Sc. in Soil Science, Chemistry, or Life Sciences

Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Previous research experience in the relevant field will be an advantage.

Monthly Compensation

• Project 1: Rs.20,000 + 8% HRA per month
• Project 2: Rs.20,000/- + 8% HRA per month for the 1st and 2nd year, Rs.22,000/- + 8% HRA per month for the 3rd year

Job Responsibilities

• Project 1: Conducting project-related research activities, including fieldwork, phenotyping, and molecular and biochemical experiments.
• Project 2: Engaging in laboratory and fieldwork, collecting soil samples from tea gardens, conducting lab analyses, data collection, compilation, and report preparation.

Selection Process

A walk-in-interview is scheduled for 20th May 2024, starting from 10 AM onwards at the STG Training Institute, Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Tea Research Association, Jorhat-785008, Assam.
