The State Child Protection Society (SCPS), Assam has released the official SCPS Recruitment 2026 Notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for the appointment of Chairpersons and Members of Child Welfare Committees (CWC) and Social Workers of Juvenile Justice Boards (JJB) across various districts of Assam. A total of 88 vacancies are available under this recruitment drive.

Roles and Responsibilities

Selected candidates will play an important role in protecting children’s rights under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.

Chairperson (CWC)

  • Lead Child Welfare Committee proceedings
  • Ensure rehabilitation of children in need of care
  • Coordinate with District Child Protection Units

Member (CWC)

  • Participate in Committee hearings
  • Assess cases involving children
  • Recommend rehabilitation measures

Social Worker (JJB)

  • Assist Juvenile Justice Board
