Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill the following educational requirements:
- Minimum Class VIII (8th Pass) from a recognized institution.
- Possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving Licence.
- Must have knowledge of the Official Language of Assam (Assamese).
- Must possess a valid Employment Exchange Registration Number issued in Assam.
Candidates having prior driving experience in Government departments or judicial offices may receive preference during selection.

As on 01 January 2026: Minimum 18 Years to Maximum 40 Years.

Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of two stages. Final selection will be based on overall performance and document verification.

Driving Test: Candidates will first undergo a practical driving test to assess:

- Road safety knowledge
- Vehicle handling
- Traffic rule awareness
- Interview / Viva-Voce: Candidates qualifying the driving test will be called for an interview where their suitability, communication skills, and overall personality will be evaluated.
