M.Sc. Common entrance test for MPT, NMT, MMLS and others — Common entrance test hosted in Guwahati on 26 July 2017 (Last date to apply: 25 June)

Before 10th July 2026, applicants who satisfy the eligibility criteria may submit their application forms. Before filling the application, candidates must carefully go through the official notification regarding eligibility, exam pattern, application fee, key dates and admission process.

Details on the SSUHS PG Entrance Examination 2026

SSUHS Admission 2026: Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), the only health sciences university in Assam has released a notification regarding entrance examination for admission into different postgraduate allied health science programmes for the 2026 academic session.

A common entrance examination will be conducted for the eligible candidates to take admission into Government and Private institutions under SSUHS.

Entrance exam gives aspiring men and women who seek to provide proficiency carrier in nursing technology, physiotherapy, medical research lab sciences, optometry, hospital management and medical radiologic technological know-how.

Courses Offered

Admissions will be conducted for the following postgraduate programmes:

• M.Sc. NMT
• Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)
• Master of Medical Laboratory Science (MMLS)
• Master of Optometry (M.Optom)
• Master of Hospital Management (MHM)
• Master of Medical Radiological Imaging Technology (MMRIT)

Admissions are available in both Government and Private Institutes of Assam affiliated with SSUHS.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the following eligibility conditions:

Nationality

• Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have secured:

• Minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

Relaxation

• SC/ST candidates are eligible for 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.

Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)

Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) is mandatory for admission into Government Institutes of Assam.

Reservation of seats will be applicable according to Government of Assam guidelines.

Entrance Examination Details

Examination Pattern

The entrance examination will consist of:

• 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• 2 Marks for each correct answer
• Total Marks: 100
• No Negative Marking

Candidates should carefully prepare according to the prescribed syllabus for their respective courses.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay:

₹5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand Only)

Payment Mode

The examination fee must be paid online through the payment link available on the SSUHS website.

Fee Exemption

Candidates belonging to the PwD (Divyang) category are exempted from payment of the examination fee.

Applicants should keep a printed copy of the online payment receipt and attach it with the application form.
