Assam Agricultural University invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Semi-Skilled (Electrical) Worker in the Agricultural Knowledge Management & Information Technology (AKMIT) Cell. The engagement will be initially for 11 months, strictly on a temporary and contractual basis. The University does not guarantee continuation or re-engagement after the contract period expires and reserves the right to terminate services at any time for reasons such as misconduct or non-performance.

Assam Agricultural University, established on April 1, 1969, under The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968, is the first institution of its kind in the entire North-Eastern Region of India. It is mandated to impart farm education, conduct research in agriculture, and allied sciences.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed at least 10th standard and possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in Electrical works.

Age Criteria:
Candidates must be between 18 and 38 years of age as of 31.01.2024

Salary:
Remuneration will adhere to the rates set by the Labour Department, Govt. of Assam.

Selection Procedure:

A walk-in-interview will be held on 15/03/2024 (Friday) from 11.00 AM onwards in Food Science & Technology Programme, Old Dean’s Office Building, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat- 785013.
