Assam Police declare for Selection List of 116 candidates of Sub Inspectors of Police (UB)

As per advertisement dated 23.11.2007 applications were invited from Indian citizens for filling up of 116 posts of Sub-Inspectors (IJB) in the Assam Police. The recruitment process was undergone. After finalisation of the select list some unsuccessful candidates filed a writ petition being WP (C) No. 4435/2008 (Shyamal Neog & 16 others Vs. State of Assam & others). The Hon’ble Gauhati High Court vide order dated 14.07.2014 passed in WP (C) No. 4435/2008, directed the Govt. to redo the select list. In compliance of the Hon’ble High Court’s order the Govt. of Assam constituted a committee to redo the select list. The committee submitted a report to the Govt. for approval after redoing the select list. The Govt. after perusal of the report submitted by the committee has approved the redone select list as per direction of the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court. In view of the aforesaid High Court’s order the final redone list is hereby published.
