1. Junior Assistant ((Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam)
No. of posts: 09 (UR-3, STp-2, STH-1, OBC/MOBC-3)
Pay: Pay Band-II (PB-2) @ Rs.14,000/- to Rs. 49,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 6,200/- per month plus other allowances as admissible under rules.
2. Junior Assistant (Field Level Establishment under DEE, Assam)
No. of post: 58 (UR-31, SC-3, STP-5, STH-6)
Pay: Pay Band-II (PB-2) @ Rs.14,000/- to Rs. 49,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 6,200/- per month plus other allowances as admissible under rules.
3. Statistical Assistant (Field Level Establishment under DEE, Assam)
No. of post: 08 (UR-5, SC-1, STP1, STH-1)

Regarding reservation for Persons with Disability (PwD):

The advertisement is made for the posts of Grade-III staff under the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam in compliance with the Govt. letter vide No. PMA.464/ 2018/ 2 Dated 07/09/2018 and the following posts have already been provided for “Persons with Disability (PwD)” for Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) to be conducted by the State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam (SLPRB) and the SLPRB has already published the advertisement for SRD of PwD vide their Advertisement dated 30/12/2018 through online system vide http://slprbassam.in/pwd2018:

a. 1 (one) post of Junior Assistant (Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam)
b. 13 (thirteen) posts of Junior Assistant (Field Level Establishment under DEE, Assam)
c. 5 (five) posts of Statistical Assistant (Field Level Establishment under DEE, Assam)

Therefore, no reservation is required for Persons with Disability (PwD in these posts. Regarding the 3 posts of Computer (Field Level Establishment under DEE, Assam) the reservation for PwD will be as per the existing Govt. Rules.

Age limit for All posts:

Must not be less than 18 years and not more than 44 years in respect of General/ Unreserved Candidates, 47 in respect of OBC/ MOBC Candidates and 49 years in respect of SC/ ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) as on 01/01/2019. The relaxation shall be applicable only to those candidates who have attained the necessary educational and other qualifications prior to crossing of existing upper age limit of 38 years. There will be no provision for age condonation.

Educational Qualification for All posts:

The candidate must possess Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University or any examination declared equivalent by the Government. The candidate also must possess computer skills for handling data and text on computer as specified below:
a) Must have knowledge of office productivity software tools independent of any operating system, i.e. MS Windows, Linux, Mac, etc. such as,
i. Word Processor (both in English & Assamese)
ii. Spreadsheets
iii. Presentation graphics
iv. Concept of database
v. Internet
vi. E-mail
b) Must possess a minimum 6 (six) months Diploma in Computer Application from an institute recognised by the Government.
Method of Selection:
The candidates must undergo a Written Examination (OMR), A Writing Ability Test and Computer Proficiency Test in a phase manner.

• 1st Phase: The Written Examination will be held for total 100 marks
• 2nd Phase: The Writing Ability Test will be held for total 30 marks to assess the Language Skill of English and Assamese.
• 3rd Phase: The Computer Proficiency Test will be held for total 20 marks Candidates must have to qualify in the Ist Phase to appear in the 2nd Phase and 3rd Phase respectively.

The selection of candidates will be finalised by the State Level Selection Committee (SLSC).
The following Examination/ Test will be held for selection of candidates for the posts.
1. Written Examination through OMR
2. Writing Ability Test
3. Computer Test

Application will be received only online in the official website of the DEE, Assam, i.e. www.dee.assam.gov.in from the Midnight of 8th March, 2019 to the Midnight of 30th March, 2019.

The State Level Selection Committee will constitute separate District Level Selection Committees for the respective districts for verification of original documents of the candidates in the district based on their permanent address. The candidates must attend the verification process as per schedule, which will be published in the Newspapers and in the official website of DEE, Assam later on. Notification will be published for downloading the Admit Cards from the office website of DEE, Assam i.e. www.dee.assam.gov.in for attending the Examinations/ Tests. The names of the qualified candidates in the Written Examination (OMR) will be published in the website for attending the Writing Ability Test and Computer Test. The candidates will have to bring their original testimonials for verification along with a set of self-attested photocopies of testimonials for submission before the respective District Level Selection Committee:

(a) Receipt of Online Application.
(b) Educational Qualification Certificate and Marksheets.
(c) Computer Qualification Certificate and Marksheets.
(d) Age proof Certificate.
(e) Proof of Permanent Residence.
(f) Certificate issued by competent authority prescribed by the Govt. regarding their status as SC/ ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC.
(g) Discharge Certificate (applicable to Ex-serviceman only). Reservation for Exserviceman will be maintained as per existing rules of the Govt.

The venue and date etc. for Written Examination (OMR), Writing Ability Test and Computer Test will be notified in due course through the official Website and Newspapers. Applications not accompanied with all necessary attachments/ not in proper size/ form will be rejected. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the Written Examination/ Writing Ability Test/ Computer Test. Canvassing directly or indirectly will disqualify the candidature.

Please Note:

• Candidates should fill up all the fields in the online application.
• After submitting the form, candidate should get the print out of the application form on A4 size paper. In that printout candidate will get space for signature. The printed signed application should be submitted along with self-attested copies of mark sheet and certificate in support of educational qualification, computer qualification, caste etc. for further authentication of the candidature.
• Candidates should be very cautious while submitting the online application form. As once the online application is submitted they will not be able to submit the online application form for second time and there will be no scope for editing /correction.
• After submitting the online application form, the candidate will get a unique number against their submitted application and will record the unique number for all future reference.
