In continuation to the earlier advertisement No.Janasanyog 2665/15 Dated 15/06/2015 and as per Govt. letter No.HLB.494/2016/26, Dated: 10/01/2017, applications are invited from eligible candidates in standard form as published in Assam Gazzette in part IX for filling up of the Grade-IV (Ward Boy/Ward Girl) of 200 Bedded Cancer Hospital in Gauhati Medical College Hospital, Guwahati.

However, the candidates who have already applied in pursuance to the above mentioned advertisement need not apply again and will be eligible accordingly. They can verify their names in the website- www.gmchassam.gov.in. from 06.02.2017.
Vacancy Details:
Name of the post: Ward Boy/Ward Girl
Total No. of post: 30 posts
Qualification: Read upto Class VIII
Pay Scale: Rs. 4,560 – Rs. 15,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 1,300/-
Age limit: Candidate should not be less than 18 (eighteen) years and not above 38 (thirty eight) years as on 01-01-2017. The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per existing Govt. Rules.

Fees: The applications should contain an application fees in the form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati.
a) Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty) for General Category and OBC/MOBC Category candidates
b) Rs. 150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty) for the SC, ST(P) & ST(H) category candidates
c) No fee is required for BPL candidate and they are required to enclose their BPL certificate from the competent authority for such exemption of fee along with the application.
How to apply: Application shall have to be addressed to the Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati and shall have to be sent/submitted in a sealed envelope in the Office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022 from 06-02-2017 to 16-02-2017. The name of the post should clearly be mentioned on the top of the envelope/ form. Applications received either by post or by hand after the last date of submission shall not be accepted under any circumstances.
Instruction to the Candidates:
1. Interested candidates shall have to fill up the Application Forms neatly and legibly and submit it with the required documents and Photograph (Colour) duly self-attested, please note that incomplete forms shall be summarily rejected.
2. Documents required are:
a) 2(two) copies of recent passport size colour photograph duly self-attested
b) Birth certificate or any other Certificate for age proof.
c) Caste Certificate (where ever applicable).
d) Employment Exchange Registration Certificate .
3. The name of post applied for must clearly be marked on TOP of the envelope/Application Form.
4. Detailed list of candidates along with details of written test shall be notified in due course of time and shall be displayed in the website- www.dmeassam.gov.in. The date of uploading in the website shall be published in the local newspapers for information of the eligible candidates.
