Job in Assam- Goalapara Collage New Job Vacancy 2019
It was the humble beginning of Goalpara College with 6 lecturers and 22 students on 8th of August, 1955, now transformed to a knowledge hub for higher education at UG and PG level. It was brought under the deficit grant-in-aid system in 1962. The science faculty was introduced in 1966 and was brought under the deficit grant-in-aid system in 1974. The UGC recognised this institution under 2(f) and 12(B) in the year 1965. Since then, both the Streams have been flourishing and attracting large number of students from various parts of the state and neighbouring states too. The College has been brought under the provisions of the Assam College Employees (Provincialisation) Act, 2005 since December, 2005. Along with the regular courses under Gauhati University and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, the College also provides distance and open education under KKHSOU (Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University) and IDOL (Institute of Distance and Open Learning), Gauhati University.

UGC pay scale: Rs. 57,700 – 1,82,400 with other allowance as per rule and as admissible from time to time.
Qualification & Eligibility: The candidate must have at least 55% marks in the Master Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University and must have cleared the NET/SLET/ SET conducted by the UGC/CSIR.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate or Master’s level for the SC/ST/ differently abled categories for the purpose.
The candidate awarded Ph.D degree in accordance with UGC (Minimum standard and procedure for award of Ph-D degree) Regulations 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
A relaxation of 5% may be allowed (from 55% to 50% of marks) to the Ph.D degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991.
Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 38 (thirty-eight) years of age as on 01.01.2019.
