Director of Secondary Education, Assam declare Result of National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination, 2016-17 . The result of NMMS Examination ,2016-17 is uploaded here in pdf format for information to all concerned.
Under this Scheme Scholarship is awarded to benefit the children of weaker sections of the society. The scholarship is paid to the students till they complete their studies up to class XII i.e. for a maximum period of 4 years @ Rs. 500 /- (Five Hundred) per month.
Reservation:-
Assam State quota is 2411.
* 15% Scholarship will be reserved for students belonging SC category.
* 7.5% Scholarship will be reserved for students belonging SC category and
* 3% for Physically Challenged Group of Students.
Qualifying Marks: Qualifying marks for candidates from General category is 40% in each paper and for candidates from SC, ST, PH is 32% in each paper.

All the qualified students are requested to open a “Zero Balance Account” in the State Bank of India or in any other nationalized Bank and submit the required information/data as per prescribed Format given in the website within 31st May 2017 for onward submission to the Govt. of India for direct transfer of scholarship. The Bank Account should be in the name of the student. All columns in the prescribed Format should be filled in correctly. This Directorate will not be held responsible for non release of scholarship due to submission of wrong/incorrect Bank Account Number, IFSC Code and other required information/ data by the candidate.
