About Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF):
Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF) is a unique partnership between the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts. It was established in December 2017 with the aim of creating a three-level cancer grid in the state, using a distributed care model. The model was designed to provide standardised and affordable cancer care to patients in a patient-centric manner, closer to their homes.
The partnership between the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts has been instrumental in bringing together the best practices and expertise from both the public and private sectors to address the growing burden of cancer in the state. The foundation’s efforts are expected to benefit 50% of cancer patients in Assam.
ACCF’s mission is to reduce the burden of cancer in Assam by improving the quality and accessibility of cancer care services. To achieve this, the foundation is working towards establishing a network of cancer hospitals and clinics across the state. The foundation is committed to providing state-of-the-art cancer care facilities, including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, surgery and palliative care, to patients from all sections of society.
