Archaeology, Assam Recruitment 2017 for Jr. Assistant, Computer Operator & Foreman posts

In pursuance of the guidelines issued by the Govt. in the Personnel (B) Deptt. vide letter NO. ABP. 70- A / 2016 /6, dtd.16th Aug./2016, and the Assam Directorate Establishment (Ministerial) Service (Amendment) Rule,1973 issued by the Government in the personnel (B) Deptt. vide Notification NO. ABP. 199 / 2015/3, dtd. Dispur the 27th September, 2016 and Finance (Estt.-A) Deptt’s letter NO. FEG.32 / 2016/8, dtd.28th Oct./ 2016 regarding application fees, it is informed that the applications of the candidates who had applied for the posts of Junior Assistant, Computer Operator and Foreman, in response to our earlier advertisement was published in the Assam Tribune on 23′ Sept., 2015(Janasanyog / 7782/15), the Assam Tribune on 6th Dec. 2015 (Janasanyog/10251/15) and the Assam Tribune on 29th July,2016 (Janasanyog/2744/16) are hereby treated as cancelled and modified.

After the modifications fresh application are invited from Indian Citizen in the prescribed Standard Form as. published in Assam Gazette Part- IX from the intending eligible candidates for filling up of the following vacant Grade-III sanctioned posts under the Directorate of Archaeology, Assam, Ambari, Guwahati-781001,as state below:

Vacancy Details:

1. Jr. Assistant (For Head Office of the Directorate of Archaeology, Assam,Guwahati-1)

No. of post: 02 posts (UR)

Scale of pay: PB- 2 Rs.5200/- to 20,200/- with Grade pay Rs.2400/-

Qualification: Candidate must possess a Bachelor degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Government and must possess computer skills for handling data and text on computer.

2. Computer Operator ( for Head Office of the Directorate of Archaeology, Assam,Guwahati-1.)

No. of post: 02 posts (UR-1, OBC/MOBC-1)

Scale of pay: PB- 2 Rs.5200/- to 20,200/- with Grade pay Rs.2400/-

Qualification:

a) Bachelor degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Govt.

b) 6 months Certificate course in Computer application with DTP, Excel, Page Maker,power point, Photoshop etc. c) Knowledge of Computer typing (both English & Assamese).

3. Foreman

No. of post: 06 posts (UR-3, SC-1, OBC/MOBC-1, STH-1)

Scale of pay: PB- 2 Rs.5200/- to 20,200/- with Grade pay Rs.2400/-

Qualification: Minimum HSSLC or equivalent Examination passed.

Terms & Condition:

1. Candidates must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5-8 of the Constitution of India.

2. The Candidates must have registered their names in the Employment Exchange and Registration No. and date must be mentioned in their application.

3. Candidates already in service should apply through-Proper Channel.

4. Age of the candidates shall be not less than 18 years or more than 38 years as on the 1st day of January,2017.The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC,ST(P) & ST(H) candidates as per Govt. Rules in force. However, the office memorandum of Govt. of Assam, issued vide No.ABP. 06/ 2016 /04,dtd. Dispur,the 3rd March,2016 regarding relaxation of upper age limit will be applicable.

5. The application with attested copies of all testimonials regarding qualification, Age, Caste, Employment Exchange Registration Card, Computer Certificate and Experience Certificate if any, along with 2 copies of recent Passport Size Photograph duly signed by the candidate should reach the office of the undersigned on or before 10.03.2017 during office hours.

6. All the applications/candidates have to deposit application fees through Treasury Challan in the Head of A/C No. – 0070 Other Administrative Service” and two copies of challan should be enclosed with the application form as follows:-

a) General Candidate – Rs. 250.00 (b) SC/ST/OBC – Rs. 150.00 (c) Candidates having BPL Certificate – Nil. The candidates belonging to BPL category should submit the BPL certificate along with application form.

7. The date of written examination will be mentioned in the calling letters to be issued to the candidates.

8. A self addressed envelope of size 22 cm x 10 cm affixing Postal Stamp of Rs.5/-(five) must be enclosed with the application.

9. No T.A./D.A. will be admissible for attending the test/interview.

10 Selected candidate shall be appointed under the New Pension Scheme announced by the Govt. of India vide Finance Department’s Circular No.BW3/2003/pt- II /1, dtd.25th January/2005.

11. Incomplete applications shall summarily be rejected.

12. Canvassing directly or indirectly shall disqualify a candidate.

13. The applications with other testimonials/documents should be put inside an envelope.

14. Name of the post applied for shall be mentiioned on the top of the envelope containing the application.

15. Application received after the Schedule date fixed will not be entertained.
