At a press conference at Janata Bhaban today, 01-08-2020, Dr. Himanta Bishwa Sarma announced that from 01-01-22021, a total of 19 197 high schools, 9 higher secondary, 149 junior colleges or senior secondary will be made provincial under the Department of Secondary Education. Will. The first list will be uploaded on August 15, 2020.
The 1st List of such schools will be uploaded on 15th August 2020.

The same was announced by education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at a press meet in Guwahati on Saturday.
“The first list of provincialised colleges and schools will be published on August 15. The second list will be published in October. But it will be effective from next January 1,” Dr. Sarma said.
He further added that the first list includes 355 high schools, junior colleges, 3359 teachers under directorate of senior secondary, 30 colleges, 931 college teachers including left over teachers.

In addition, a total of 414 new teaching posts will be provincialized. A total of 97 junior colleges and additional colleges will be made provincial.

A total of 3399 teacher posts and 931 professor posts will be made provincial which will be 42990 in total.
The first provincial list will be published on 15th August 2020 and the second list LP and UP will be given in October 2020.
The pending work of the irregular teacher will be done within the next 2 months.
