Eligibility Criteria for the NMMS Exam
Class: Students currently enrolled in class VIII are eligible to participate in the NMMS exam.
School: The scholarship is exclusively available to students of Government and Provincialised schools under the Department of School Education, Government of Assam. While students from Private schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs), and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) are allowed to take the examination, they won’t be considered for the scholarship selection.

Students who successfully pass the NMMS exam will receive a scholarship of Rs.12,000/- per year during their studies in classes IX, X, XI, and XII. It’s important to note that to qualify for the scholarship benefits, the annual income of the student’s parents should not exceed 3.5 lakhs as per the Ministry of Education’s norms.
